• AVOID AT ALL COSTS

  Took my car for an mot and they failed the car on emissions they told me it could be the lambda or the cat so i took it to a grage i trust and they checked what it failed on and said the cat was knackered so paid out £350 to have it fixed they then did the emissions test before i took the car and it past. So the next morning i took it to unifit for a re-test and they tell me it failed again on emissions and the readings are higher then before they reved my car so much i aint surprised it failed they used all my petrol drove my car like a boy racer. I would advise people to avoid unifit at all cost.

• Won't go back

  Took my car to Uni Fit for MOT as it is v close to my place of work. I knew what work needed to be done and this was all that came back as wrong. However just some little things I found annoying. My front tyres were previously put on the wrong side and a break light bulb had gone. Guy said he'd change tyres frees of charge when he carried out MOT work - fair enough! He also said that he had changed the break light bulb free of charge... Booked car in to do MOT work at Uni Fit. Took car home, break light bulb still out and had not been replaced. MOT work completed work paid for - checked invoiced had also been charged for the swapping of tyres and balancing... Just little things but I will take my car elsewhere next time.

• poor service

  Ask gargage to check my exhaust , told me the only problem was that my manifold needed replacing, Quoted £60. + vat. for labour. The final bill came to 105.00. They past my work to another garage without my permission. After doing the job the mechanic told me that my backbox had rotten out. I checked my old manifold, and found that it only had a airline crack and would have lasted another six months at least. The problem I had with the exhaust has not gone away and the repair that I did not need has cost me over £200.00 with the part. Spent a whole day waiting in for part from internet site, spent another whole day waiting for garage to fit manifold, lost two days holidays for no reason. They are extremely slow at getting jobs done as well
