  Been to this place twice. The first time we were taken by a Spanish friend who knew the staff. On this occasion the service was prompt and friendlya nd the food was good.The second visit was a totally different experience - the food was ok but nothing special.A lively atmosphere suitable for large parties rather than quiet or romatic dinners.dont expect this to be anything like the food you experience whilst in Spain. Food here is acceptable but lacks the freshness and service you would receive abroad.We have not felt that the food was good enough to return.

• Excellent food and excellent service!

  Me and my girlfriend popped in here when we were in Plymouth for a few days and we were not disappointed. Having never been to a tapas bar before we thought we would venture into the unknown and we are glad we did! The food was absolutely fantastic with a wide range of dishes available. If you have never veen to a tapas bar before then the only way I could describe it is as a pick and mix menu. We ordered 6 different items, which were brought out very quickly and even though it didn't look a lot we were both stuffed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and didn't mind that we wanted to add extra sides after we had ordered.One of the dishes wasn't available but they kindly replaced it with another one after checking with us and they even gave us a 2nd one totally free. We would definately go back there again, or to another La Tascas.

  Very nice place - food and service good. Coffee was particularly good.
