Downende Country House is set in two acres of gardens trees and shrubs in the quiet countryside of southeast Cornwall . We are easily accessible from Plymouth (approx 14 miles) and are close to the fishing villages of Looe and Polperro .A good base for exploring Cornwall .Eden and Helegan 40 mins. Open all year. We are a small family run business offering you personal service, and are happy to cater for any dietary needs evening meals available. Small functions catered for business & pleasure.

Downende Country House offers three night breaks at reduced prices , home cooked evening meals using fresh local ingredients all seven rooms are en- suite and we have a two bedroom family suite with it's own private entrance. We are a proffessionally run Bed and Breakfast establishment and have a full fire & health & hygiene certificates and run our eastalishment at a five star standard.
