Chuffed? Not this time....

We settled down for a meal on a fairly quiet Saturday in early September 2004. The restaurant was only half full, and we ordered some superb Camel Valley wine whilst looking at the menu.
However, that's when it all went wrong. AFTER we'd decided what to eat, we were told that a fifth of the menu wasn't available, or had to be altered.
The service was slow - even when paying the bill - we almost walked out because we were ignored so much.
When asked if everything was ok at the end of the meal, it felt like this was routine, as when we pointed out that the service was slow, the proprietor became very defensive and gave excuses: 'It's been very busy tonight', 'there's only two in the kitchen', and my personal favourite, 'you can't please everyone'.
Put this with the inflated prices for the quality of the food, I would not visit again. (And that's a first for us in any establishment in Cornwall!)
