The aim of all therapy is to assist people in finding meaningful alternatives to their present unsatisfactory ways of thinking, feeling or behaving.  Therapy also tends to help people become more accepting both of themselves and others and can be most useful in promoting personal development and unlocking inner potential.  There are many forms of psychological therapy but Hypnotherapy is distinctive in that it attempts to address the unconscious mind.  In practice, the Hypnotherapist often (but not exclusively) will assist you to be in a relaxed state in order to facilitate beneficial change.  The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and at ease throughout your session.

The British Psychological Society reported:   

"There is evidence from several studies that its [hypnosis'] inclusion in a weight reduction program may significantly enhance outcome.' .....    (BPS, 'The Nature of Hypnosis', 2001)

Hypnotherapy is natural; it is safe and is a drug-free way to shed your excess weight by means of communication direct with your subconscious mind which brings your subconscious mind and your conscious mind in positive communication with each other thus assisting you in achieving your ideal weight. Many of my clients have spent many years dieting, and this really creates problems as their bodies as used to the famine/feast cycle created by these quick fix diets  and the weight comes off, then goes back on again...body weight yo-yo's. Fundamentally, diets don't work, which is where hypnotherapy is different.
